Implement Privacy Pillar Applications on BigCommerce

You can implement the Privacy Pillar application on your website that you have constructed using BigCommerce, by adding custom JS to your website code through the BigCommerce control panel. To be more precise, you must add the production CDN script of the cookie banner to your website theme code through BigCommerece settings.

The following steps are common for implementing Privacy Pillar's Cookie Banner, Subscription Consent Banner, and Social Fortuna.

Add Script and Publish

1. Log in to the BigCommerce control panel.
   
2. In the left pane, click Storefront and click Script Manager.
   
   The Script Manager page appears.
   
3. Click Create a Script.
   The Create Script page appears.
4. Enter any Name of the script and Description.
   
5. Under "Select pages where script will be added", select All pages.
6. Under "Script type", select Script.
   The script editor appears.
   
7. In the Script contents, insert the copied script from the Privacy Pillar Portal, and click Save.
   
   
   
8. In the left pane, click View Store and check that the desired module appears on the website properly.
   Note: If it supposes doesn't appear, try hard-refresh (Press Ctrl+Shift+R) and check it again.

Modify/Update the Script

To make any change in the script added,

1. Go to the Script Manager page.
   
2. In the list of scripts, click right to the custom JS that you added and click Edit.
3. Make the changes and click Save.
